Sarah Hope [ORIGINAL ARTWORK, 102cm x 76cm], ‘Winds of Change’
I painted this on a day I was swelling with emotion – a kind of movement in my thinking when I returned from the UK. I was so inspired by my time there – I found it hard to settle when I returned. But as I painted, I didn’t feel as though I was painting conflict or a storm – it was about powerful movement, passion and emotion. I could almost feel the wind and sea spray on my face. The positive ions of the ocean!
So it’s full of energy, layered with bright blues, teals and textures.
It’s about finding ourselves in a period of transformation, standing strong, being energised by winds of change.
